What is Sulfaquinoxaline Sodium Soluble Powder?

Sulfaquinoxaline Sodium Soluble Powder is a sulfonamide specifically indicated for the treatment of coccidiosis. It demonstrates the highest efficacy against Eimeria maxima, E. brunetti, and E. acervulina in chickens, while exhibiting weaker activity against E. tenella and E. necatrix, requiring higher dosages to achieve therapeutic effect. It is commonly combined with amprolium or diaveridine to enhance efficacy. Its peak activity targets the second-generation schizonts (days 3-4 of coccidial infection) and does not interfere with the development of immunity against coccidia in poultry. It possesses moderate antibacterial activity and can prevent secondary infections associated with coccidiosis. Cross-resistance with other sulfonamides may readily occur.
