What is Fenbendazole and Ivermectin Tablets?

Anthelmintic agent. Fenbendazole exhibits broad-spectrum anthelmintic activity and demonstrates strong efficacy against nematodes, cestodes, and trematodes. Its mechanism of action involves binding to tubulin in helminths, thereby disrupting cellular processes such as mitosis, protein assembly, and energy metabolism within the parasites.

Ivermectin is highly effective against both internal and external parasites, particularly arthropods and nematodes. It is primarily used to control gastrointestinal nematodes, lungworms, and external parasites in animals such as cattle and sheep. Its anthelmintic action is mediated by stimulating the release of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) from presynaptic neurons, which opens GABA-gated chloride channels. The influx of chloride ions reduces membrane resistance, causing a slight depolarization of the postsynaptic membrane potential and disrupting neuromuscular signal transmission. This leads to paralysis and subsequent death or expulsion of the parasites.
