Sodium Ferrocyanide

Sodium Ferrocyanide
Details:
Pale yellow crystal. It is easy to dissolve in water, difficult to dissolve in alcohol and has no fixed melting point. It begins to dehydrate when heated to 50 ℃, becomes anhydrous at 81.5 ℃, decomposes at 435 ℃, and the decomposition products are nitrogen, iron carbide, and sodium cyanide. It is obtained by reacting sodium cyanide solution with ferrous sulfate and calcium chloride, and then concentrating, crystallizing, and separating.

Physical and chemical properties

Pale yellow crystal. It is easy to dissolve in water, difficult to dissolve in alcohol and has no fixed melting point. It begins to dehydrate when heated to 50 ℃, becomes anhydrous at 81.5 ℃, decomposes at 435 ℃, and the decomposition products are nitrogen, iron carbide, and sodium cyanide.

Sodium ferrocyanide is obtained by reacting sodium cyanide solution with ferrous sulfate and calcium chloride, and then concentrating, crystallizing, and separating.

The calcium ferrocyanide solution is obtained by CO heating the waste oxide obtained from the gas plant and lime, adding the boiled salt solution, and then co-heating with the sodium carbonate solution to concentrate and crystallize.

Toxicological basis

① LD50: 1600 ~ 3200mg / kg (BW) in rats.

②ADI:0~0.25mg/kg(BW)(FAO/WHO,2001).

③ Mutagenicity test: Ames test has no mutagenicity.

Application

Anti-caking agent

GB 2760-2014 stipulates that it can be used for salt and salt substitute products, and the maximum dosage is 0.01g/kg (calculated by ferrous cyanide).
