Physical and chemical properties
Lemon to orange liquid, no special odor, slightly bitter. Soluble in water, aniline, ethyl acetate, and toluene, insoluble in mineral oil and vegetable oil. HLB value is 14.9. It is a hydrophilic, oil-in-water non-ionic surfactant with good thermal stability and hydrolysis stability. The mixture of sorbitol and sorbitol anhydride partially esterified with stearic acid and palmitic acid is prepared by condensation with about 20mol ethylene oxide per mole of sorbitol and its single and double anhydrides.

Application
Emulsifier, defoamer, and stabilizer
GB 2760-2014 stipulates that the maximum consumption of prepared milk and frozen drinks (except 03.04 edible ice) is 1.5g/kg; Cream, prepared cream, and liquid compound seasoning (excluding 12.03 and 12.04), with the maximum dosage of 1.0g/kg; Water oil fat emulsion products, fat emulsion products other than 02.02, including mixed and/or flavored fat emulsion products and semi-solid composite seasoning, with a maximum dosage of 5.0g/kg; Legume products (based on the consumption per kilogram of soybeans), the maximum consumption is 0.05g/kg; Bread, maximum consumption 2.5g/kg; Pastries, milk containing drinks and vegetable protein drinks, with a maximum dosage of 2.0g/kg; Solid compound seasoning, the maximum dosage is 4.5g/kg; Beverages (except 14.01 packaged drinking water and 14.06 solid drinks), the maximum consumption is 0.5g/kg; Fruit and vegetable juice (pulp) drinks, the maximum dosage is 0.75g/kg; Others (emulsified natural pigment), the maximum dosage is 10.0g/kg.
