White crystalline solid powder, odorless or with a slight odor. Soluble in water, propylene glycol, and glycerol (33g / 100ml water).
Toxicological basis
① LD50: mouse acute oral 794mg / kg (BW).
② Ames test: the result was negative.
Application
(calculated by dehydroacetic acid) the use standard of sodium dehydroacetate is the same as that of dehydroacetic acid.
Sodium dehydroacetate has a wide range of antibacterial effects on various bacteria, molds, and yeasts. In addition to being used in meat and flour products, it can also be used in cheese processing. Practical use reference: in the process of cheese manufacturing, when salt is added to the curd, the product is mixed into the salt with the dosage of 0.01% ~ 0.05%. The product solution can be sprayed on the outer surface of the product or on the inner surface of the packaging material.
