What is VitaminB2 Tablets?

This product is a component of the coenzyme groups of flavoenzymes in vivo. Flavoenzymes act as hydrogen carriers in biological redox reactions, participate in the metabolism of carbohydrates, amino acids, and fats, and significantly influence the nutrition of the central nervous system and capillary function.

Free vitamin B₂ is absorbed in the intestine via passive and active transport. Within intestinal cells, it is phosphorylated to form flavin mononucleotide (FMN), which is then transported via the bloodstream to the liver, where hepatocytes further convert it into flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD). Approximately one-third of the body's required vitamin B₂ is stored in the liver and released as needed.

Deficiency of this product disrupts biological oxidation, leading to metabolic dysfunction. Chicks exhibit characteristic symptoms such as curled-toe paralysis, weak legs, and stunted growth; laying hens show reduced egg production and decreased hatchability. Pigs display stiff leg muscles, lens opacity, diarrhea, rough skin, and anorexia; sows may experience premature birth, embryonic death, and fetal malformations. Calves and lambs may show cracked corners of the mouth and lips, anorexia, alopecia, and diarrhea..
